I certainly appreciate this article. I have never been afraid to hear no. My first experience hearing no was at the age of 10 on the summer job hunt. I would go out, based on my fathers instruction and unwillingness to cough up any money, and solicite business after business until I found someone who needed work. Needless to say I heard no a lot, but I always eventually heard yes, even at that young age. I have an older brother and a younger brother and we all did this at some point. We never had problems getting work and now have very entrepreneurial businesses and have succeeded in sales roles. I think people need to know that it's ok to hear no.
